Comment #2 missy from kutztown, PA -

Ahh, always about the women isn't it? Heh.

Well from what I have learned, there's a lot that Costa Rica has to offer, nature wise. There's volcanos, rainforests, beaches, and towns to visit. If you and your friends enjoy nature, you could go and go surfing on the beaches, hiking near volcanos, explore the rainforests, bird watching and so on. There's also zoos as well.

Comment #3 Cynthia from The Moon -

I never hear too much about people going to Costa Rica for Spring Break. Always Cancun and Cozumel. Why is that, because Costa Rica is a great American vacation destination? I don't know much about prices and entertainment in Cancun and Cozumel, but Costa Rica can't be beat!

Comment #4 Johnny from the river banks of the Mississippi -

I don't hear very much about people going to Costa Rica for Spring Break either. It could be that there is higher crime rates in Costa Rica. Cancun and Cozumel may be safer for the tourists.

Comment #5 Old Grump from San Jose -

It could be they are "closer" (if not in miles in perception). It could be that the other places are promoted for "spring break". It could be that Costa Rica stopped allow Americans to enter without a passport longer ago.

Keep this min mind... . Some people like to call Costa Rica various things like Puerto Rico or Costa Rico. Costa Rica translates to "Rich Coast"... check out Costa Rica. Costa Rica is also two words, not one, ie: Costarica or CostaRico. San Jose is the capitol city of Costa Rica. The San Jose International Aiport (SJO) is really located in Alajuela, Costa Rica (about 15 km from the Capital San Jose).
