'Sportfishing' Travel

I have heard from many that Costa Rica is a perfect spot for sportfishing since on either side is water. I have read that the fish are plentiful and large. How do you get the fish back to the U.S. though? It may sound stupid to ask this question, but I am not much of a fisher.

yeah i am not much of a fisherman either. but my guess would be that you would send the fish home, just like you would any other stuff you couldnt take on a plane. like i siad, im not sure if thats what is done to get it back home.. but isnt there like a way to send freezered meats?

Hmmm, if you are going to send a truck full of fish maybe that is a good reason to send back the fishes you caught back at the US but if all you want is to take home one then I suggest you forget it. Or if you want it just to be a trophy then go to a local taxidermist.
