For tourists you should not consider it to be particularly dangerous.. of course if you go out drinking late and return home drunk... you'll look like easy targets for mugging or harassment. |

| It is very important to consider the safety and security of the place you want to travel before going there. So I think good thing that you thought of posting that query to get other people's opinion. Well, as far as I know Siquirres isn't that dangerous as long as you are not doing any terrible acts. As a foreigner, of course, you have to be cautious enough with your actions. |

We live nearby & use Siquirres for our banking, shopping and auto repairs. I agree with the above post in that if you behave in a manner that deserves respect you will get respect. Siquirres is a wonderful little town that caters to mostly locals. Learn a few phrases in Spanish, Hola, Bueno, Por Favor, etc. and you will get mostly smiles. The Tico's around here are mostly farmers. |
| Hi. I have been many times in Costa Rica. We often have our family vacation in there because my mom really love the place besides we have an Aunt there where we stay when we had our vacation. Especially when there are a great offer of a travel packages which we can save a lot of money for having a trip. There are many best travel destinations in Costa Rica. Take care. |
