Mario from in the desert -

Ok, I have been to Costa Rica, but I didn't get to go on a canopy tour. I am going back with friends at the first of the new year. My friend is scared of heights, will she freak out, or is it not that high? Some advise and information would be helpful.

Hmm, i would think your friend would be terrified. From my experience with fears of heights, any amount of heights is terrifying! But if she seems other people go before her and don't fall to their death, she may be a bit more rational heh. But fears and phobias can be very irrational! :(

Comment #2 Cynthia from The Moon -

I have been on a couple of them. If you are scared of heights, I would not recommend it unless you are interested in overcoming that fear. I had an absolute blast. Their are tons of companies that offer canopy tours. The two I went on were equally fun. I saw some really cool birds and gorgeous land.

Keep this min mind... . Some people like to call Costa Rica various things like Puerto Rico or Costa Rico. Costa Rica translates to "Rich Coast"... check out Costa Rica. Costa Rica is also two words, not one, ie: Costarica or CostaRico. San Jose is the capitol city of Costa Rica. The San Jose International Aiport (SJO) is really located in Alajuela, Costa Rica (about 15 km from the Capital San Jose).
