Is it better to take a bus? How do you find out what the bus schedules are?

Will you get ripped off every time you try to take a taxi? How do you get in touch with one? Do they cruise the curbsides like in the cities in America?

Do they have any horse and buggies, people on bicycles pulling little carts?

Take a bus. You will be ripped off most times you take a taxi and even the legal rates are very high compared to the buses if you are going between cities.

Also don't forget to use your feet!

The best transportation is still a zap car, good for the environment which produce less carbon emission cause its electric. Having your own car is still better than any public utility vehicle.

Keep this min mind... . Some people like to call Costa Rica various things like Puerto Rico or Costa Rico. Costa Rica translates to "Rich Coast"... check out Costa Rica. Costa Rica is also two words, not one, ie: Costarica or CostaRico. San Jose is the capitol city of Costa Rica. The San Jose International Aiport (SJO) is really located in Alajuela, Costa Rica (about 15 km from the Capital San Jose).
