Brad (63.176.159.178) -

Why doesn't the Costa Rican government open up the technology markets and let the economy florish?

Enjoy Costa Rica as your exotic vacation spot and leave your work and politics at home.

Jose,!

What happen to the people that live in Costa Rica ?

They are not having an vacation like the Yakee.. They have to live up with the rest of the wrold, no communication, no furture, No enco, They do live like a monkey in their country.

That is why they call it a 3rd world country.

Comment #4 matt from nowhere, earth -

Are the government planning on changing this at all? Or do they just not care and want to keep it as a mostly tourist place? It would be really nice if things could change for the better for the residents of Costa Rica.

Comment #5 Cynthia from The Moon -

Costa Ricans will have to make an effort if they want changes to occur. Americans just need to enjoy their vacation there. I wouldn't move there as an American. There are many better places to retire if you ask me.

Comment #6 Old Grump from San Jose -

What are your favored places for retirement? (and why?)

Keep this min mind... . Some people like to call Costa Rica various things like Puerto Rico or Costa Rico. Costa Rica translates to "Rich Coast"... check out Costa Rica. Costa Rica is also two words, not one, ie: Costarica or CostaRico. San Jose is the capitol city of Costa Rica. The San Jose International Aiport (SJO) is really located in Alajuela, Costa Rica (about 15 km from the Capital San Jose).
