Just returned from a two week stay in the southern zone was informed upon leaving the staes of a surfschool in the pavones region i contacted it thru www.surfarisurf.com it is run by one of their instructors who works there half of the year and operates the school in pavones the other 6 mo.

i had the best experience it is operated on 6 acres of beachfront property,the have a really good program,catering to beginer and advanced students,they teach you 5 stand up tecniques and provide ammenities and all meals,snorkeling mt biking ets,yoga all for under

$1200 a week..the home i stayed in was a dream surf house perched 300 ft above sea level with the best osa penninsula view i highly recomend you contact alex pina at pavonessurfschool@yahoo.com i was told a web site was under construction atthe time..mila ranch bernardo calif..

Wow, it sounds like you had a great time. 1200 per week sounds absolutely reasonable for the experience you had. I am going to look into this, I will be back in the area in about 12 weeks and that just sounds amazing. I love to surf, but where I live there isn't too much water.

I have always wanted to surf! My sister started surfing a few years ago and always tells me how fun it is. I feel like I'm a bit too old but i realy should give it a try someday!

Keep this min mind... . Some people like to call Costa Rica various things like Puerto Rico or Costa Rico. Costa Rica translates to "Rich Coast"... check out Costa Rica. Costa Rica is also two words, not one, ie: Costarica or CostaRico. San Jose is the capitol city of Costa Rica. The San Jose International Aiport (SJO) is really located in Alajuela, Costa Rica (about 15 km from the Capital San Jose).
