What is Costa Rica known for in the Olympics? What sports do they send the most people for? I figure they have more Olympic summer atheletes than winter.

Hey did you not ever see Cool Running? [I think that was the title...] Where there was a Jamaician bobsled team! People who live in a fairly hot place can still do winter sports ;)

Anyway, i have no idea. Ha, sorry. When is aw your comment i just had to comment on Cool Running.. Just watched it the other day.

I would figure some of the summer games, possibly track and field events. I really also have not heard too much about Costa Rica in the Olympics.

I did some searching this time. All I could find was Soccer and Swimming? Which would be summer sports obviously. I couldn't find any Costa Rican Winter sports?

I found that they sent two men in archery in the 1980 olympics. They placed in the 30's so I guess they weren't that good. Other than than football seems to be the only other sport I could find.

I wonder if Costa Rica has ever even won a medal in either winter or summer Olympics. Who is hosting the next Olympics?
