Hello,

I am planning to take a trip to costa rica for eyes, lip implant neck lift, tummy tuck, breast augmentation and arm lift. I am researching surgeons and am getting mixed responces and heard horror stories. Anyone who can recommend a good surgeon and calm me down. PLEASE HELP!

Costa Rica is a great place for a vacation... where it doesn't matter if the services are always up to par or not, because you are just enjoying yourself and the weather.

For important things... you might look for someplace where the standards are better.

Of course if you look you'll find horror stories about plastic surgery everywhere. If you are looking outside the United States you might look at Colombia or Brazil.

Find out what agency licenses the surgeons and check with the licensing agency. Check with the courts for lawsuits (though you'll find many fewer lawsuits for botched surgeries in other countries).

Yeah even America has a lot of horror stories about botched plastic surgery in America. But i would be nervous about getting any kind of surgery in a foreign place, just because there could be a lack of communication, and what happens if something goes wrong? Definitely do lots of research, and maybe bring a friend with you.

there are dreadful horror stories about plastic surgery everywhere in the world.

i think the difference between US and Europe is that mid and south america has surgeons that are true artists.
