Just was curious as to how long it takes from dominical, and is there good resources there? I was thinking about relocating to Dominical, and using San Isidro as my main place to shop

I think any judgement of clean or dirty has to be made by living in an area for a while. When its windy is it also dusty?

What my vision of clean is, may well be vastly different than yours! If I have some real estate to sell in the area, my opinion on the area may also be vastly different from yours!

San Isidro is an hours drive through the mountains from Dominical. It is a larger town with a great farmers market and one of the bigger selections of necessities outside of San Jose.

There are several small towns between Dominical on the ocean and San Isidro in the valley. There are also several "gringo" bedroom communities if you are so inclined to live in one of these areas.

The prices of land and homes between Dominical and San Isidro are much more reasonable than the prices along the ocean between Jaco and Dominical. San Isidro is relatively clean and a much different community than Jaco. It is a blue collar town with virtually no tourism.

Hope this helps.

Terry

I am planing on moving to San Isidro in a few months. I will be needing an apartment at least 2 bedrooms. My income is limited to Soc. Sec. Do you know if there are any reasonable priced ones?

Peggy, you shouldn't have a problem finding something reasonable. It all depends on what ammenities you want. I am sure there are some properties you won't be able to afford. My suggestion is to travel there and checkout the area before moving there. You will be glad you did. Just rent for a while.

Keep this min mind... . Some people like to call Costa Rica various things like Puerto Rico or Costa Rico. Costa Rica translates to "Rich Coast"... check out Costa Rica. Costa Rica is also two words, not one, ie: Costarica or CostaRico. San Jose is the capitol city of Costa Rica. The San Jose International Aiport (SJO) is really located in Alajuela, Costa Rica (about 15 km from the Capital San Jose).
