Paving of Beach Road on Playa Palo Seco

Parrita, Costa Rica

Robert (199.146.49.235) -

I was told back in September of 2004 that the beach road was going to be paved before November or December. The road from Parrita to the Beach was actually paved ahead of schedule (believe it or not). We have not seen any action on this or heard any word as to when if every this will happen. There are a number of large residential and commercial projects going on on Playa Palo Seco at this very moment.

Any info appreciated.

I'm looking to buy in Playa Palma. Should I be concerned with beach erosion there? Also, it's a "concession" can this be a nightmare waiting to happen? Open to suggestions on beach properties no more than 20 minutes from major ammenities yet quite beach(less surf the better)All help is greatly appreciated!

at the moment do not buy, wait for two or three years to see. if you cant wait ... go ahead ... ask locals who have been living there for a number of years

The best thing to do is just take a trip and check it out yourself. If you are going to move there, my suggestion is not to buy right away, but just rent a place for a while. You may want to move to a different area.

Keep this min mind... . Some people like to call Costa Rica various things like Puerto Rico or Costa Rico. Costa Rica translates to "Rich Coast"... check out Costa Rica. Costa Rica is also two words, not one, ie: Costarica or CostaRico. San Jose is the capitol city of Costa Rica. The San Jose International Aiport (SJO) is really located in Alajuela, Costa Rica (about 15 km from the Capital San Jose).
