What kind of holidays does the people in Costa Rica celebrate? Is there Christmas? Today's Thanksgiving Day over in America. I have no idea if that holiday exists in Costa Rica? I would think no?

Costa Rica celebrates quite a few similar holidays as the Americans. They have Easter Holy week, and they have Christmas. Of course, their traditions are different than ours.

They celebrate these other holidays as well:
Mothers Day
Independence Day (which for them is September 15th)
Labor Day (which for them is May 1st)
New Years Day
And there are many more holidays that the Americans don't celebrate.

Keep this min mind... . Some people like to call Costa Rica various things like Puerto Rico or Costa Rico. Costa Rica translates to "Rich Coast"... check out Costa Rica. Costa Rica is also two words, not one, ie: Costarica or CostaRico. San Jose is the capitol city of Costa Rica. The San Jose International Aiport (SJO) is really located in Alajuela, Costa Rica (about 15 km from the Capital San Jose).
