Looking for Nursing jobs in Costa Rica.

I am a licenced registered nurse in canada and I am looking to move to costa rica and work as a nurse there. I obtained my schooling here in canada and am wondering how to go about being fully licenced to practice in costa rica and how to go about finding a job. please email me back.

have any of you tried sending resumes or making any calls?

Why proceed to forums? Try searching it on search engines, or at employment giving websites not the forums. Try the manual application and ask around.

I was thinking of the same thing Delena, why are these people pasting their credentials and informal resumes here at the forums when they can just go out and apply to those multimillion company them selves. Especially during these times of economics recession where employees after employees are being laid off even by well known and popular companies. What I recommend is you to take advance seminars and rank up your profession to be a "hire-able" professional.

So Ian where is the link? To Reuben, I think LJ, Ashley and Eva have tried submitting resume to companies They just thought that posting on forums would help.

Delena and Reuben, you guys have said what has been in my mind for a really long time. In fact, most of the time, I think people do post questions about jobs in here just for the sake of it. Why dont they tell us whether they have tried doing online searches and whether they were successful because then, we will have a benchmark. What is so special about Costa Rica anyway? Is it some sort of country with a booming economy?

Keep this min mind... . Some people like to call Costa Rica various things like Puerto Rico or Costa Rico. Costa Rica translates to "Rich Coast"... check out Costa Rica. Costa Rica is also two words, not one, ie: Costarica or CostaRico. San Jose is the capitol city of Costa Rica. The San Jose International Aiport (SJO) is really located in Alajuela, Costa Rica (about 15 km from the Capital San Jose).
