Jason Owens (24.26.141.102) -
I spent some time on the ocean last summer in both Australia and Fiji, and have finally found where I belong. I live in Ohio in the USA, and am looking for any chance I can get to spend time at sea. I will be graduating from college in June, and can start work any time after that. I am a hard worker and fast learner. I promise you will not be let down. Thank you for your time and I hope to hear from you. Jason.

You can always get a job as a deck hand on a fishing boat in Gloucester, MA, Portland, ME or any of the fishing villages in New England. Of course, there is always Alaska if you want the big money and don't mind the very cold.

There are two major ports in Costa Rica.. Puerto Limon and Puerto Caldera. Limon is on the Atlantic Ocean and Caldera on the Pacific.I heard there are some great expansion projects in the works for Puerto Limon and the idea of building a railroad to connect the two to compete with the Panama Canal.

How is the work in Costa Rica? Is it pretty much the same as the United States?
Jason, did you ever have any luck getting the job you wanted out at sea? What is it that you are looking to do? I know some people down off the coast of florida that are lobstermen and they work like 5am to 8pm everyday but weekends, so you would be home with your family everynight, and also have the weekends off. If interested I would look more into it.

Jason you live in Ohio, meaning all FIVE great lakes are within driving distance. I'm sure somewhere on the lakes you can find something to hold you over until something big comes your way.
I think Jason is a little ambitious, which is to my opinion is a great attitude. For me to dream big is to live big. Pat seems to be satisfied for what he have right now, hope your not missing the big catch while whistling in front of your personal computer.Jason Owens please continue searching, who knows? Courage and Perseverance sometimes are hard to find within us in this times of economic troubles but always remember, patience is a virtue :)
Right Olivia, patience is a virtue. The Dalai Lama said he is thankful to the chinese because they taught him patience. Great remark! we should be thankful to whomever teaches us PATIENCE. It is key!
Thanks for the compliment Willy.. Well I always thought of patience as virtue, and that those who are willing to wait and persevere will be fruitful in time. Just have faith and sooner or later you will earn your price. That is if you do your part, you'll notice later on that everything is doing great and are putting up according to what you have viewed it in your mind.
That is absolutely true and you know what, absolute truth saves many situations.Take an example of a glass with water at its half-way. A pessimist will describe it as being half empty because what he seems to wonder is when it is ever going to be empty.
An optimist looks forward to the cup overflowing out of bounty. It is true that patience is a virtue so do not expect to sit back and hope 'your big break' will come and politely knock at your door.
