I will be in Escazu on Wed. Jan 12 can you recommend a nice place for drinks--not a tourist hang out.

Thanks Phil

The best place in Escazu is La casona de Laly, very friendly people, close to downtown . my phone number is (506) 842-2092.

Usually, how much do the hotels charge customers per stay/night? Can you give us a specific price range which is budget-friendly?

Comment #3 Bill from Alajuela (Contact Member) -

it will depend what you are looking for... a hostel with shared bedrooms and bathrooms for $10 a night maybe.... up to as much as you can imagine paying.

Be more specific on the exact area you want and the features.

I bed small bed and breakfasts in Costa Rica offer the best experience and usually the best bang for the buck too.

Well it seems that Turk already posted list there, well i am thinking on posting it but, anyway it is posted already.

I just would want to include that i will personally would go for a place and have a drink with tourists, you know, getting to know more people, knowing diverse different cultures... it is like getting there but actually listening to stories, i love the idea of that.

Yes, if i were to go to a foreign country, i would prefer to talk and have a drink with a tourists. With those new people from other country means new things to learn like from their culture and living.

I would love to explore other country's way of living and how they see things and what do they have way back in their country.

The thought is so thrilling and exciting..

Costa Rica is a beautiful place indeed, but I am still longing to touch down on the shores of this splendor of the earth.

Costa Rica is so very perfect. Quite simply, the most perfect of all destinations in the entire world?

Comment #12 smithy (63.176.159.222) - 01/28/10 17:32

I keep hearing a lot about Costa Rica, but I do not know if I would be able to see the place soon.

I also have been hearing lots of stuffs about Costa Rica and I must say that I also getting more and more curious about the said place. I am also thinking of when I can be able to visit this country and have a vacation. I think spending some time in this country can be very memorable. But anyway, let us hope for things to happen. Have a great day.

Keep this min mind... . Some people like to call Costa Rica various things like Puerto Rico or Costa Rico. Costa Rica translates to "Rich Coast"... check out Costa Rica. Costa Rica is also two words, not one, ie: Costarica or CostaRico. San Jose is the capitol city of Costa Rica. The San Jose International Aiport (SJO) is really located in Alajuela, Costa Rica (about 15 km from the Capital San Jose).
