'Zoo Suggestion' Entertainment

I will be traveling through Costa Rica with some friends and we thought about checking out a zoo or some kind of wildlife preserve. I know that the animals must be amazing compared to what I see at the zoos in America. Any suggestions of a tour to go on? Do they have any zoos where you sit in your vehicle and drive through?

I don't really like going to Zoos. I used to always want to see one but it really wasn't as exciting as I imagined! Also some of the animals looked SO depressed. I do wish i saw monkeys flinging poo, that would be great. LOL!

Anyway, I would also want to go to zoos and enjoy variety of animals I only saw on tv. Please include some information about the location, the fare, and rules on zoos in Costa Rica. Thanks!

Zoo Ave like most tourist attractions in Costa Rica has a dual pricing scheme. Residents pay less, tourists pay more. Don't fret it too much.. just enjoy your vacation.
