Hey guys! I'm wondering where you think is the "it" place to go to have fun. Where do you like to go to be entertained?

Comment #1 Old Grump from San Jose (Contact Member) -

I think the men should refain from answering that question!

Are you talking about the bar scene or something in nature?

Comment #2 sandy from baytown, tx (Contact Member) -

Hahaha, no i don't mean anything sexual. I just meant fun bars, concerts, museums, zoos, beaches, etc. Anywhere that is fun and enteraining for people to go to.

You might just want to check with a travel agent when you book your package. I know we are looking into getting a package that includes flight, hotel, car rental, etc. I am sure the travel agents have information on entertainment. Also, checking with the hotel staff when you get there. The people that live there are your best sources for information.

I would never rent a car in Costa Rica. I would use the public buses (a buck or two to go to Jaco beach from the airport). Or the mini van services (25 bucks or so for that trip). A taxi would cost you $75-$100.

Yeah that's what I'm planning on doing, taking buses. I didn't know that there were mini van services, i'll keep that in mind! I'll make sure to look for a travel agent and see if they can help me out, thanks!

HI SANDY, MY 1ST TIME IN COSTA WAS THE BEST. WHAT 2FREINDS AND I DID WAS WE RENTED A CAR FROM THRIFTY CAR RENTAL FOR 22 DOLLARS A DAY AND WENT A GREAT ROAD TRIP. WE WENT NORTH TO THE ARENAL VOLCANO, IT WAS AWSOME, WE SAW IT ERUPT. THEN WEST TO FLAMINGO AND PARTIED ON THE BEACH AND WENT SPORT FISHING, WE CAUGHT A TON OF FISH WHICH WE KEPT SOME AND GAVE THE REST TO THE LOCALS. THEN WE WENT TO TAMARINDO AND PARTIED SOME MORE. THEN FROM THERE WE TOOK THE FERRY ACROSS TO PUNTENARES THEN DOWN TO JACO WHICH GOT PRETTY CRAZY. THEN DOWN TO MANUAL ANTONIO AND HUNG OUT ON THE BEACH THERE THE NATIONAL PARK IS GREAT AND ALSO TRY A ZIP LINE TOUR. THEY HAVE ONE OF THE BEST IN THE COUNTRY. THEN BACK TO SAN JOSE. I ALWAYS FELT SAFE EVERYWHERE WE WENT. I WUOLDNT WORRY ABOUT RENTING A CAR IT IS THE WAY TO GO, YOU CAN DO WHAT YOU WANT WHEN YOU WANT. NO WAITING FOR A CROWDED BUS THAT TAKES FOR EVER. JUST DONT DRIVE AT NIGHT AND BE CAREFUL AND YOU WILL NEVER FORGET YOUR VACATION. PLUS YOU WILL MEET GREAT PEOPLE ON YOUR ADVENTURE. SCOTT

Keep this min mind... . Some people like to call Costa Rica various things like Puerto Rico or Costa Rico. Costa Rica translates to "Rich Coast"... check out Costa Rica. Costa Rica is also two words, not one, ie: Costarica or CostaRico. San Jose is the capitol city of Costa Rica. The San Jose International Aiport (SJO) is really located in Alajuela, Costa Rica (about 15 km from the Capital San Jose).
