The whole world should envy Costa Rica for being powered by 99% renewable energy. Other countries should get their act together and follow this country's example by harnessing more sources of indigenous, renewable power in their own backyard to reduce their dependence on imported fuel and more importantly, to help curb global warming. A country cannot say that it has a crusade against environmental destruction if it continues to use power from fossil fuel and coal. All countries should do their best to lower their carbon footprint and the best way to do this is to advocate the use of environment-friendly products and clean and green sources of power like wind, solar, geothermal, biomass and hydroelectric.
That is good to hear and I must agree with you. I think if countries would do the same as Costa Rica then surely we can help save energy and at the same time be independent with regards to the energy needs within the country. This is great. I hope that this initiative would continue and would spread in some other countries. Thanks for sharing in here and good day to all.
I appreciate that Costa Rica is striving hard to become world’s first carbon-neutral country. That is really possible because they are rich in renewable energy and the government is very supportive for building dams which can protect from heavy floods. They also have a very good idea for contributing in the effort for minimizing the effects of global warming in the world. That makes me think of living there.
I admire the determination of Costa Rica to be one of the countries in the world which is rich in renewable energy. Some of Costa Rica's energy sources consist of geothermal energy, burning of sugarcane waste and other biomass, solar and wind energy. But this success would not be possible without the help of their effective government. Costa Rica can be a good influence to other countries to implement the same routines to help conserve energy.
Hi there! Good thing for Costa Rica. Yes, I also think that other countries should follow Costa Rica in using renewable energy for their electricity. This will not only help in saving energy but also helps in saving the planet. Governments should promote this type of electricity source. Thank you so much and have a great day to all of you guys!
