If anyone is familiar with Shari Auto Sales located near Alajuela I would appreciate their telephone number. They are honest guys that can set you up with reasonably priced cars. I no longer live in CR but am planning a return and these guys would be my choice for good economical transportation. Please e mail me the telephone number at:MLDisney161@Aol.Com

I am wondering what 4wheeler is best for Costa Rican roads. I live in La Cruz, near http://www.mtpalmera.com and http://www.costapalmera.com and need something that can stand up to the beach and the mountains.Any ideas?

hi i'm moving to the northwest pacific and i'm thinking about buying a volkswagen van instead of a 4x4.I've taken mine up and down our canadian mountains with no worries.Anyone else driven one in costa rica with some advice for me.Where's a good place to buy a newer 1972 old style van? cheers

I would not recommend a vw van for the northwest part of costa rica..you need something with a lot of clearance...as you go thru rivers and over huge rocks and potholes....tough suspension and lots of clearance...thats the ticketg

There is the way that is advertised on television, and thats www.cars.com so I guess you could try that out, and let me know how it is, maybe I would be able to get a car from there as well.
