This web link should be a good start. Their website should have all the contact information you need.

With all the U.S. Banks on the verse of collapse do you think they are doing better in Costa Rica?
I think when you look at the U.S. Banking problems coming mostly from the mortgage issue you'll in comparison find the Costa Rican banks to be much more healthy. The problem, however, is that the regulation of those banks is probably not at strict so there may have other issues lurking in the background. Of course the strict banking regulations in the USA did little to prevent the current crisis!

Yeah US banking is collapsing. Seems like everything is really.

I know this has nothing to do with Costa Rica but...I heard on the news today that experts say the US is going to be in the recession they are in altleat for another 2 more years. Could this be true?
Yes that could be true if the government won't act right now. I would be like the great depression of the 30's. It would really get worst before it could be better again. there may be 30% jobless or maybe more
Comment #7 Aaron (63.176.159.183) -
A 30% unemployed rate doesn't seem too impossible anymore. I know quite a few people out of a job at the moment. And not even the local Wal-Mart is hiring, and that's saying something.

If the US of all countries can have problems with the banking industry, then isn't there a lot in stake for the rest of the world? What are these strict banking regulations in question? Has the Obama administration made any great strides? The Costa Rican banking industry is still far from being described as being significant. It has strict banking secrecy laws and the banks have reserve requirements that are much higher.
