Leo (24.49.227.95) -

Hi:

My name is Leo, I currently live in Florida and am considering relocating to Costa Rica with my family.

I am currently an Air conditioning Technician and would like to know the criteria for setting up a air conditioning business in Costa Rica.

I would appreciate any info you can provide.

Thanks

Comment #1 Roxy from Heaven -

I would figure air conditioning would not be a huge business in Costa Rica. I am from the United States and have only been to Costa Rica twice, but many places don't have air conditioning. But, on the other hand maybe an AC tech makes good money considering there aren't many of them.?.

Comment #2 jane doe from down below -

I would think AC would be too expensive to maintain in Costa Rica. Also the people probably are used to the heat and don't want to fork money out for something that is not necessary... But the Americans who have money and have retired there just may want AC?

Keep this min mind... . Some people like to call Costa Rica various things like Puerto Rico or Costa Rico. Costa Rica translates to "Rich Coast"... check out Costa Rica. Costa Rica is also two words, not one, ie: Costarica or CostaRico. San Jose is the capitol city of Costa Rica. The San Jose International Aiport (SJO) is really located in Alajuela, Costa Rica (about 15 km from the Capital San Jose).
