'Well known artists' Art and Artists

What are some of the well known artists from the Costa Rica area? I don't really know of any popular ones that are well known. I live in the city where Georgia O Keefe taught!

I only know of one and it's only because I'm a fan of his art! His name was Francisco Amighetti. He produced xylographs, drawings, and oil & water paintings. Here, i just googled up some information on him for you:

I have a friend that has an original Francisco Amighetti xylograph and she doesn't have the internet so she asked me to look it up to find out what it was worth. I could not find any information on that. Seth, do you know where I could find her an appraisal on this piece? Or, anyone else that can help.

Hi Johnny, I am not all too sure. I tried searching and this website looks like there would be a good database of artists and collectors who may be able to help your friend out. I only found one piece of his there though, but it seems that you have to join in order to see the prices and talk to other people. I suggest that you join and ask people there, they should know more! Good luck!

Johnny, you could also get your friend to go to the library, or a bookstore. Talk to the bookstore owner, and ask them if they know of any books that list how much various pieces of art are worth? I know there are books on comic books and it's worth. One of my friends has that as he's a comic book geek and is always hoping he'd land on a comic that is worth lots of money heh.
