What is the best place to stay in Arenal to see volcano? How many days should I plan to stay there to be sure I get to see some action?

Be flexible with your schedule. Stay in Fortuna for as long as it takes to see some nightime action at the volcano. You can relax in the hotsprings during the day to pass the time.

It really depends on how much you want to spend. We stayed just one night there and we stayed at Fuego Arenal. Absolutely nothing fancy, more or less like an American Motel 6, it only cost us about 50.00, but you can see the whole volcano from your balcony.

Is there a high rise hotels around Arenal areas? If there is, the topmost room might be the best for viewing the volcano.

I don't think high rise is word that combines with Costa Rica.

I am planning a trip to costa rica la fortuna and staying at the royal springs. could anyone give me info on the best way to pay for tours, or should I go solo I will be renting a car from san jose and visiting the volcano and ziplining white water rafting, horseback riding coffee tour and shopping I am here for 4 days can this be done and what are my options. The date is the end of September til the beginning of October. Thanks Paula

4 days is really nothing. I'd probably look for a 4 day packaged tour.If you had 2 weeks.. I'd say go it alone (or try and meet up with some others in B&Bs along your way). There is too much to explore. You might want 4 days are Arenal Volcano to see some activity... or the first night might be spectacular enough for you. If you have time DON'T PLAN. • Page 1 (Original Post) •
